Waiting for paint to dry

While waiting for paint to dry, I begin some new sketches.

Canvas panels are new to me; oilsticks I've only tried once before.  The oilsticks seem capable of greater subtlety than I'd previously realized.  I'm curious what will become of these sketches.

Very cool. Can you paint over the oil sticks with Acrylic? I have some oil sticks which I've never used. I may have to get your address and send them on.

Just love your work so much! And your productivity is over the top amazing too.

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara

Nope, you shouldn't use acrylics over any form of oil paint, because it won't adhere. Oil over acrylics is OK though - I primed my panels with acrylic. But after using those yummy oilsticks, any further layers must also be in oil.

Regarding productivity - maybe due to a touch of OCD *laughs*
