Made these to cover the french doors in my sister's porch, which let in a lot of cold air. Together we hatched this plan to hang fabric from velcro strips at the top. And why just plain fabric, when I could stitch together a landscape?

I'll be sending them by mail soon, hopefully she'll get them before xmas!

Those are still pretty cool although you could have just stitched canvas.
haha, yeah - but it's nice to work with soft, textured, pretty coloured fabrics once in awhile!
besides, she can wash these - after all her kids are going in and out through the doors, and I'm sure there will be mud and splatters eventually...
:)
True...so true. The 12/09 paintings...the one that is brown and yellow looks like a NY apartment complex. It really is a visual joy looking at your work cause I do enjoy looking at buildings and structures and creating scenes from shapes. Your work just puts it all in one place for me to look at it. I love that piece. Are you doing more to it?
do you mean the square one with yellow background?
not sure if I'll change it, I really like it right now, too, but I also think it needs some tweaks... just not sure where & how, so leaving it for the moment.
glad you like the work!
the city cacaphonic, yeah, haha.
